SHOW RULES and INFORMATION

1.     This show is open to any and all 4-H & FFA youth, any County any State.

2.     No registration papers will be necessary.

3.     Check in time will start at 6:30 am.

4.     Judging will begin at 9:00 am with showmanship.

5.     All exhibitors are required to provide USDA Scrapies Registry or Certificate

6.     No animals with contagious diseases or conditions will be allowed.

7.     Judging order will be: Showmanship, Milking does, and Junior (dry) does.

8. This will be a clipping optional show.

     9.Animals are shown at owners risk. County of Rock, Rock County

         Goat project, and/or WIS-IL Show committee will not be held responsible for

          loss, damage or accidents to persons, property or animals at this show.

    ENTRY FEES:

          Entries and Fees received before May 22nd / $2.00 per animal.

          Entries and Fees received after May 22nd / $3.00 per animal.

          Entries may be made the day of the show. ($3.00 per animal)

          There will be no entry fee for showmanship.

    PEN FEES:

          $2.00 Per pen. Pen fees will be refunded if pens are cleaned and bedding is

removed from the fair grounds. (The show committee is responsible for

Cleaning the barns and removal of all bedding. Your help is appreciated) 

                   Pens will accommodate 3 milkers or 5 kids.

NOTE:

           There will be an ADGA sanctioned show the same day as this show.

              Animals in the youth show will not show in the ADGA show.

             Animals in the ADGA show will not show in the youth show.

            * Only showmanship for both shows WILL be combined (same ring).

SHOWMANSHIP CLASSES*****TROPHIES WILL BE AWARDED

            Sign-up for showmanship at the show ( no pre-entry )

 

          Beginner Showmanship - 10yrs old and under

          Junior showmanship – 11yrs thru 14yrs old

          Senior showmanship – 15yrs thru 21yrs old

        *Showmanship will begin at 9:00 am

 Alpine, Lamancha, Nubian, Saanen, Cross Breeds, and AOB.

AOB = (All Other Breeds)

AOB class may be divided into breeds if there are enough entries.

 

          ** Age of animals will be determined as of May 28th.

SENIOR DOE CLASSES (MILKING)

1.     Milking yearling doe under 2 yrs

2.     Doe 2yrs and under 3yrs

3.     Doe 3yrs and over

*Best of breed (awards will be given)

*Best Senior Doe in Show (awards will be given)

 

JUNIOR DOE CLASSES (DRY)

4. Junior kid – born on/or after April 1st, 2005

5. Intermediate kid – born 3/01/05 to 3/31/05

6. Senior kid – born 1/01/05 to 2/28/05

7. Sr. Yearling – born 5/29/03 to 12/31/04

*Best of Breed (awards will be given)

*Best Junior Doe in Show (awards will be given)

 

WEATHERS

          8. Weathers must be born Jan. 1st or after.

    There also will be a chance to weigh in your weather at the show

FAIR GROUNDS WILL BE OPEN AT 5 P.M. FRIDAY MAY 27TH,

FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF EARLY ARRIVALS.

 

SHOWERS WILL BE AVAILABLE

LUNCH STAND WILL BE OPEN FROM 7am TO 3pm

THERE ARE SEVERAL RESTURANTS AND HOTELS CLOSE

 TO THE FAIR GROUNDS.

 

THE FAIR GROUNDS ARE LOCATED IN JANESVILLE ON RANDALL AVE.

ONE BLOCK NORTH OF E. MILWAUKEE ST.
